Reckin House Coach House

Designed and built as a companion structure to a restored century home, this new coach house was carefully detailed to feel original to the property rather than newly added. The building includes garage and storage space on the ground level with a full living area above, positioned to overlook the bay.

Achieving architectural continuity required precise material and detail matching, including century-style brick, cedar shake bell corners, dormers, and custom oak window sills. We worked closely with local suppliers to source materials that reflected the character of the existing home, then executed heritage detailing to ensure the new structure integrated seamlessly with the site.

While the exterior respects the property’s history, the interior was built to modern performance standards, incorporating ZIP System sheathing, HRV ventilation, and high-efficiency insulation assemblies.
