These clients were relocating to Collingwood and required their newly purchased home comprehensively updated prior to move-in. The existing finishes were dated, the staircase was uncomfortable and non-compliant, and the basement remained unfinished.

The project called for a coordinated, full interior renovation delivered within a firm 3.5-month construction timeline.

Throughout the home, we installed new flooring, trim, and paint, removed popcorn ceilings, and reconfigured the electrical layout to support a cohesive lighting plan. The primary ensuite was fully redesigned to incorporate a custom walk-in tile shower suited for long-term accessibility. A guest bathroom was also completely renovated.

A key structural component of the project was the redesign of the main staircase and railing system. We corrected the rise and run to meet current code requirements, significantly improving comfort and safety while integrating the new assembly seamlessly into the refreshed interior.

The basement was framed and finished to create functional living space, and the laundry room was relocated and modernized. In the garage, we added insulation, air sealing, and drywall to allow for year-round use. Outside, a custom composite deck with a privacy screen extended the living area and created a defined outdoor retreat. A modern flush fireplace was installed with custom oak shelves surrounding.

As is common with comprehensive renovations, the scope evolved during construction. Through structured project management, clear communication, and disciplined scheduling, we maintained momentum and delivered the home ready for occupancy ahead of the clients’ seasonal deadline.
